Kathleen
And Now She Is Four.
Submitted by danielle on November 23, 2011 - 9:43pm.Miss Katie had a birthday this last weekend. Our little girlie is four years old now!! She is growing up so fast!
Happy birthday to our funny, spunky princess!
Katie asked for a Butterfly Princess cake for her party. Mommy decided
to go for a literal interpretation and delivered a cake with a Princess
with butterfly wings. Katie seemed pretty pleased. She had a great party. Since it was nice we were able to be outside which is a first for Katie's birthday party! Here are a few pictures from
her party and the cake.

Katie and Asher
Submitted by danielle on October 7, 2011 - 3:06pm.Katie has had a little trouble giving up her baby role. According to her Sunday School teacher, the other week they were all asking her questions about Asher. After 3 or 4 questions, she looked at them and said, "Can we be done talking about Asher now??" But when Katie isn't upset over the lost of attention she really makes a good big sister.
See? :)

Two (!!) years ago today we walked down a long hall to a small one room office in Henan, China. We walked in to a scene of organized chaos with officials holding babies and others checking paperwork. We were quickly told the LuoHe babies had not arrived yet. So we stood and watched while other families in our group received their beautiful children. There were sobs from children and parents alike. It is all really a daze in my mind. I remember standing watching down that long hallway. And then there they were, a party of three adults carrying two little girls in their arms. And then into my arms was placed the most beautiful somber child. Our little Katie.
Today, while still beautiful, she is anything but somber...
Katie lives life to the extremes. She is usually smiling except when she is screaming/crying! She adds a lot of humor and spice to our family. Our little Katie.
