18 month update
Miriam is 18 months! She is growing so fast... where has my little girl gone?
She is 23 pounds and 8 ounces, the 45 percentile for weight, and 33 inches which is the 80 percentile for height!
She's our little talker. Here's what she is saying these days:
No, hi, hello, bye-bye, peep-eye (peek-bo), thank you, Amen, please, done, more, down, up, all gone, up-ah (meaning to lift), go, Mommy, Daddy, Miriam, Gam-pa (Grandpa), baby, kitty, cat, duck, pet (the kitty), cracker, cookie, pizza, mac(aroni), egg, apple, juice, drink, sippy (cup), cup, spoon, bottle, (out)side, sun, moon, boat, ball, Bite-bite, Sleepy (her stuffed puppy), book, sock, shoe, coat, foot, head, toe, broom, door, 'puter (computer), poop (which means new diaper in general), the end,
Sounds she makes: "A", "B", "C", "D","E", "G" (Yes, as in the letters), "e-i-e-i" (as in old McDonald), "woof", "meow" (she sounds very much like the cats), "aaa-ooooo" (howling like a dog), uh-oh, kissing sounds
She has started to put a few words together. For example, on morning she was trying to get her non-morning person mother up and moving, so she shook the crib and yelled "MOMMA UP-AH, MOMMA UP-AH! She has also said "Momma go!"
She is into climbing and has mastered going up the stairs. Mommy is still nervous about her going done them, but she has managed with the basement steps. She is running and has started to walk on her tippy-toes for fun (too cute). She can stack 6 blocks on top of each other and is working on that seventh block (she's so close!)
She loves to sing and dance. She has started playing the tambourine... quite well actually. It is so cute to watch her shake and bang on it. She is a whiz at learning new melodies, just a few time of hearing it and she can hum it.
