The end of a good thing

Today is my last day of maternity leave. I have to return to work tomorrow. I really wish I didn't have to go back to work. I just want to stay home with Miriam, but until Brian gets a job with benefits this is what I have to do.
We are at least lucky enough not to have to hire a babysitter as Brian will be able to watch Miriam since I will only be working weekends.
Miriam continues to grow. We visited friends this last weekend/week and on Mel's baby scale Miriam is up to 19 pounds! I know she was getting heavy! Every day she gets better at sitting and other movement. She is getting to be a pro at picking up things and starting to be able to feed herself finger foods. So exciting even if it is messy. :-)

I'm glad to find your site.
I'm glad to find your site. I was visiting a friend last week who is adopting from China, and I was astonished at how many China websites and resources there are. Ethiopia has so few. I hope that will change as more people adopt from Ethiopia.
We have three kids: Ramona, 4 (bio), Efram, 3 (adopted from ET, home 11/20/04), and Desta, 11 (adopted from ET on 1/16/05, not yet home). We have a blog about our adoption that I thought you might like to read: http://bringingdestahome.blogspot.com.
Best wishes!
