Now where did she learn that?

So this morning Miriam was carrying around her "egg" (a plastic Easter egg from last Easter). She found a shell and was having fun "hiding" the shell in the egg. All at once she realized if she shook the egg with the shell it made a sound. "Shaker!" she exclaimed running to the music shelf and grabbing a maraca off the shelf. She shook the two thing together admiring their similar sound. I nodded approvingly and said, "You made a maraca, Miriam!" She turned to me eyes the size of dinner plate, "it's a maraca!" "That's right, Momma! Maraca is Spanish!!"

Okay, NOW I'm impressed!

Do you have a Very Veggie

Do you have a Very Veggie Christmas? Apparently, Manuel plays the maracas for Feliz Navidad because he's got hands!! :->

Hi, Dani! I'm spending some

Hi, Dani! I'm spending some time today getting caught up on your blog, and I just love all the fun little Miriam/Evan antics that are recorded here. I wish that I did a better job of recording the "little things" like the fact that Miriam apparently knows Spanish! That's awesome! :) I forget, with her vast language skills, that she is just 2 weeks older than Thad. I mean, he's come a long way and is doing great with language now, but there's NO WAY that he would know anything about Spanish!
