Evan at 18 (and a half) months
Evan had his 18 month doctor's appointment today. He weighted in at 26 lbs 12 ounces ... just over the 50th percentile on the growth charts. Length was 33.5 inches... just under 75th percentile. Not bad... not bad at all! Actually I am surprised to find him so "high" on the height curve. Everyone always says he's such a huge kid, but he's really not. He just seems "stout" I guess.
He also scored very well developmentally... the nurse was laughing about how anyone had ever called him delayed. Particularly funny was the "does he say 2-3 words? 3-5 words, or 5-10?" ... "Um, 20 words? At least." Lets see: up, down, more, all done, thank you, all gone, kitty cat, puppy, "woof", "meow", Sissy, Momma, Daddy, Grandma, Elmo, snowman, What's that, juice, cup, cracker, open (which is a multi-use word for "make this work!"), poopoo, diaper, ball, off (always referring to his shoes!)... I know I'm forgetting a number!
Yeah, that's my speech delayed kid.

Yay!!! Way to go Evan! -
