Evan The Artist
Submitted by danielle on January 26, 2012 - 12:18am.
Evan has really developed a love of drawing in the last few months. He
has an unusual perspective at times drawing things from the top or very
fluid. Here are some of my favorites.
From Sept 2011
From December, the three bears chase some bad bugs.
While the three men go on an adventure.
This month he is on a space kick... note the detail.
And my favorite... Spiderman!!!
Evan Rides
Submitted by danielle on November 5, 2011 - 10:47pm.
Evan has been asking to ride a horse for sometime. He got to pet a horse when a neighbor of Mimmi's took the kids for a buggy ride this summer. And ever since he has loved horses. Well, Evan so rarely asks to do something like this that we had to try to get him a riding lesson which turned out not to be so easy as most places will not take a 5 year old. But the other week Evan got his wish.
He. Loved. It.
He never smiled and won't talk to the trainer, but his eyes were shining the whole time and he was bursting to tell everyone all about it afterward. Interestingly enough, he didn't seem afraid once on the horse and was a total natural. The trainer was so pleased with his riding stance, she said there was nothing to correct. I was just so proud of my boy for not being afraid of such a big animal (compared to him anyway!)or of doing something completely new!

The Puzzle King
Submitted by danielle on July 13, 2011 - 11:31am.Evan has always loved jigsaw puzzles but lately that love has really
taken off. He received a 100 piece Spiderman puzzle for his birthday. I
helped him the first 2 times he did it. After that he did it all on his
own. How he has 2 other 100 piece puzzles and he can do them with ease!
Yup, he's the puzzle king around here!
Happy 5th Birthday, Evan!!

And my big boy is FIVE!! Un. Believe. Able!
Big Dude has come a long way this year. He has learned his letters. He
has learned to hold his own with his sisters. He is even starting to
talk to adults he is not related to! LOL
He has the best sense of humor, a definite mischievous streak, and the
best laugh EVER! He is a hard worker (for a little boy!) and usually the
one mommy can count on do his chores. He is momma's boy with a big
heart and a sensitive spirit. Sadly, I think this is the last year I
will be able to carry my boy...
he is over 60 pounds and while I CAN still do it, my back can't take it
for long! He is a great puzzle solver and has that stereotypical male
mathematically ordered mind.
Can't wait to see where this year takes him!
