Week 5 of Adventures continued to focus on Jesus as the light of the world for Bible. And in science we talked about stars. On Tuesday we went out side to compare the size of Betelgeuse (largest star we can see with the naked eye) to our sun. We had a little 1 inch diameter "sun" and then measured out the 600 inch "Betelgeuse". We also read about the different constellations and especially the Big Dipper. One evening we all went out at night and looked at the stars. The kids really enjoyed that even though I'm not sure we actually identified anything correctly! LOL
This week Butterfly begin her English lessons in Primary Language Lessons. So far so good although I can already tell dictation is not going to be on her "like" list.
History this week focused on the Mayflower and the Pilgrims. We made an oiled paper window as part of our activities. Only pictures I got this week were of the older kids notebook pages.
