The First Anniversary of Faith becoming Sight
Submitted by danielle on March 25, 2010 - 11:00pm.
One year ago today, I began the long journey home from China with Miss
Katie in my arms to unite our family for the first time. One year ago on
the 16th, we first laid eyes on a quite little girl with soulful eyes
and a thumb embedded deep in her mouth. It was such a long journey from
the seed planned in 2004 to the first piece of paperwork started in 2006
to that day March 16th, 2009. It was a rough road full of obstacles but
we held on to our Pure Complete Faith and one year ago it was made
sight. And she was truly beautiful!
And she is even more beautiful today. Full of life. Full of
mischief. Full of love. Full of laughs. Smart, stubborn, and silly. She
was worth every minute of the wait and ever bump in the road. Love you,
baby girl!
She's Got Something To Say!

Who? That would be Miss Katie. Talk, talk, talk. My girls love to talk!
Katie's language has really taken another leap forward this last month.
She talks in sentences now most of the time. I hear "Momma, I see a
train/car/truck/etc" all the time. I hear "LEAF me LOOOONE!" (Leave me
alone) and "MOMMA!! Evan hit me 'GAIN (again)" way too often. I also
hear "Jesus love you", "A-A-Apple, B-B-Butterfly", and "one, two,
three, nine, twelve" (her counting is coming right along! LOL). I also
hear her standard greeting of "Hi ya, Momma!" on a regular basis. But
the sentence of the week is "Who dat?" by which she means "what is
that?" She does this about EVERYTHING in sight over the last few days.
The sentence of the week last week as "NEEEED potty!!" followed by
clothing flying off, but that's another post. :)
And just for fun a picture of Miss K-K after her new haircut.
