Chinese Starfish revisited
Submitted by danielle on January 22, 2008 - 11:09am."It's okay Momma..."
Submitted by danielle on January 19, 2008 - 10:56pm.Heard at our house today..
"It's okay Momma, vacuum cleaner will hurt you." While she meant to say "won't" not "will", her little slip actually reveals her own great fear of the vacuum cleaner. Which explains the loud wailing and gnashing of teeth abundant tears earlier in the day when I ran the vacuum for 2 minutes. And I thought she was finally over this....
Left or right?
Submitted by danielle on January 18, 2008 - 3:11pm.Miriam was obviously right handed from day one. No question. Her left hand never dominated anything.
China and HIV+ Adoption
Submitted by danielle on January 11, 2008 - 12:24pm.WOW! WOW!
An online friend, Erin of Full House, Full hands, Full Heart, has a new job as HIV adoption Coordinator for her agency. This morning she reported that her agency had persuaded China (Yes, CHINA!) to "try" placing HIV+ children. This is SO huge. Please read her post copied below and SPREAD THE WORD!
Christmas 2007
Submitted by danielle on January 9, 2008 - 11:11pm.It's a little late but I thought I would share a picture from Christmas. Funny how hard it is to get toddlers to sit still long enough for a decent shot under the tree.
Anyway, the kids had a great time this Christmas. They LOVED opening gifts and by the end they were real pros!
Adoption update
Submitted by danielle on January 7, 2008 - 5:54pm.For those wondering... Yes, we are still adopting from China... someday... God willing...
Seriously, the wait times are crazy, and we really do not know when it will happen. Right now we are updating all our paperwork, because besides the changes (Evan's adoption), all the paperwork expires every 18 months. I am reminded how much I hate paperwork.
Evan at 18 (and a half) months
Submitted by danielle on January 7, 2008 - 5:36pm.Evan had his 18 month doctor's appointment today. He weighted in at 26 lbs 12 ounces ... just over the 50th percentile on the growth charts. Length was 33.5 inches... just under 75th percentile. Not bad... not bad at all! Actually I am surprised to find him so "high" on the height curve. Everyone always says he's such a huge kid, but he's really not. He just seems "stout" I guess.
